 Due to the ease of the access from the "Via de Infante" to Tavira this course with its growing reputation for player enjoyment is already well established in the golf world of the Algarve. Laid out on mainly undulating land the course offers pleasant views both to the Atlantic Ocean and inland to the hills of the "Serra do Caldeirão". The course is varied in play and is rewarding to most average golfers. The strategic placed bunkers and occasional water hazards make the course a never too comfortable experience!

Quinta de Ria-7km from apartment. 

 Rocky Roquemore is the course architect, and has taken advantage of this beautiful setting in a Nature Reserve with the blue sea as its southern boundary. A first hole of 475 meters is a par-5 and sets the style of the course by taking the player down a gentle slope to the first of many undulating greens. The par-3 fifth hole is a challenging dogleg to the left with a water hazard to catch the short ball. The home nine takes the player close to the beach providing panoramic sea views. The interesting par-4 fourteenth of 333 meters is another dogleg to the left and presents water to the right on the drive, and then again inviting water to your left to carry on the approach shot to the green. The broad fairway of the eighteenth par-5 of 475 meters brings the player to a tricky green which is almost surrounded by its protecting bunkers.

Quinta de Cima-7km from the apartment

Quinta de Cima is considered a Championship level course and it will give most golfers an enjoyable challenge. It has basically open fairways running over land dotted with almond trees with strategically placed bunkers and water hazards to take possession of any bad shots. Holes one and two quickly make any player realise the need for careful club selection combined combined with accuracy. The par-5 sixteenth hole and the challenging eighteenth are already noted for the problems they give the golfer.

 The new magnificent course of Monte Rei by Jack Nicklaus offers everything a player would expect from this international golfer and designer. The course is laid out in the rolling hills to the north of the "Via Infante (A22)" motorway. Each hole offers an attractive visual challenge combining a variety of factors to ensure golfers of most standards can play the course with enjoyment and challenge at every hole. This new course opened in October 2007, and was designed by Severiano Ballesteros. Located in the eastern Algarve, overlooking the landmark bridge that spans the river Guadiana and neighbouring Spain, this 18-hole championship course features a refreshing layout including 6 Par-5´s, 6 Par-4´s and 6 Par-3´s. Sitting into a natural valley always overlooked by the Clubhouse, most players from various handicaps will feel challenged by Seve´s architecture & creativity. Numerous dogleg holes, wide fairways and obstacles enhance the course quality and its breath-taking surroundings.
